The Russian occupier from Vladivostok, 20-year-old Mikhail Tkach, who killed Ukrainians in Bucha near Kiev, is threatening to return to Ukraine and continue to commit atrocities.

One of the coworkers here at the steel foundry asked me about how or why the Russians would murder so many civilians. He said he doesn’t understand why they would do that when Russians and Ukrainians are related. I told him about the Russian propaganda, and how putin can’t stand the idea of an independent Ukraine. Of how a prosperous independent Ukraine is an insult to putin’s power, when it’s proof that Moscow’s policies of oppression are still mired in old soviet politics.
Plus, there’s multiple cultural differences between Russia and Ukraine. Enough that though they share ethnic backgrounds, they are still different people.
