Indeed, there still are too many Western media outlets that swallow the numbers that these incompetent economists vomit at them. Every time I read an article about the purported great economy in mafia land, I grab a pound of salt. As a matter of fact, I avoid such articles anymore.
It’s easier to take something for granted instead of investigating it. On the other hand, how should any outsiders get the relevant data? Thus, it’s futile to bring certain reports about a shithole like mafia land.
