How are Russian newspapers reacting to the Ukrainian drone strike on Moscow?

Today’s Russian papers call yesterday’s large-scale Ukrainian drone strike on Moscow “a record attack”, but claim “Russian attacks do more damage to Ukraine than they’re doing to us.” One paper wonders: “From Moscow’s perspective, what level of escalation is permissible & controllable, and what isn’t?”

  1. Amazing how all this russian media all have the exact same headlines in their articles. Anyone would think they are being instructed from above.

  2. “Our attacks cause much more damage to Ukraine than theirs do to us.”

    Demonstrably true; unfortunately.
One million homes in central London were destroyed in 1940 in the blitz.
It did nothing to achieve Hitler’s war aims or damage the morale of Londoners.
However, Sir Arthur “Bomber” Harris, RAF commander was moved to say :

“They sowed the wind. Now they will reap the whirlwind”, before bombing the shit out of German cities.

That’s approximately where we are now.

Unfortunately, the use of tactical nukes by the putinaZis cannot be ruled out, because putler may well calculate that Ukraine’s fair weather friends will not have the stomach to respond in kind.
That is why Ukraine urgently needs an independent nuclear/WMD deterrent in place.

  3. Id offer that a conventional ballistic weapon ( like the one currently in development ) targeted at refineries and fuel storage facilities would achieve, not the same, but close to a WMD. They are doing it now, chipping away. They are slowly destroying their economy and infrastructure – which is what a WMD would do. UKR would not want to kill thousands of dumb innocents, today is not like Japan in WWII, the orc population are not really involved in the war. And leveling dirt road dilapidated settlements achieves nothing tactically. Im not a war strategist by any means, just a retied Mfg engineer, but I think UKR, if they threaten ocrville much more – would seem like a WMD to the orcs, and thats the same thing.

    • I’d respectfully disagree. I’ve seen too often the Russian populous cheering the “genocide” of Ukrainians. As far as I’m concerned the only people left in Russia are the MOFOs looking to wipe us out. I believe, despite my strong Ukrainian Catholic upbringing, that I say, kill ‘em all and I’ll sleep well.
