Until recently, Musk was one of the key sponsors of Trump’s presidential campaign.

A public spat has broken out between US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk. The White House chief said he was “disappointed” in Musk after he criticized his “Big Beautiful Bill” on spending and taxes.

CNN reports on this . It is noted that the US President did not speak with Musk, who, by the way, was one of the key sponsors of his presidential campaign, after the billionaire called the law “disgusting nastiness.”

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we’ll ever have that again,” Trump said during a meeting with reporters in the Oval Office.

He claims that Musk knew all about the law and said nothing until it was made public. The billionaire himself denies this . According to him, he did not see the document, and it was adopted “in the middle of the night so quickly that almost no one in Congress could even read it.”

At the same time, Trump has already started talking about the fact that he should expect attacks from Musk against him:

“I’m sure that will be the next one. But I’m very disappointed in Elon. I helped Elon a lot,” he emphasized.

The story didn’t end with these statements. That evening, Trump posted on social media that Musk had “gone crazy.”

“Elon is ‘exhausted’, I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate which forced everyone to buy EVs that no one wants (which he knew for months I was going to do!) and he just went nuts!” the  US President wrote .

Musk responded succinctly: “Such an obvious lie. So sad.”

Unexpectedly, Trump even dragged his predecessor Joe Biden into the scandal.

“The easiest way to save money in our budget, billions and billions of dollars, is to end Elon’s government subsidies and contracts. I’m always surprised Biden didn’t do that!”  he said .

It is worth noting that against the backdrop of the quarrel with Trump, Elon Musk started talking about creating a new party in the US. He published a corresponding poll with the question: “Is it time to create a new political party in America that would actually represent 80% of the middle class?”

Updated: Elon Musk has claimed that Trump is allegedly a subject of the “Epstein files.” According to him, this is why these documents are not being published. We are talking about the American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of pedophilia and organizing prostitution. 

“Time to drop the really big bomb: Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. This is the real reason they weren’t made public. Have a great day, Donald Trump!” Musk wrote on social media .
