Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia is supposedly at “a very important point in the completion of the SVO”. His words caused a stormy reaction on Russian social networks. Russians ridiculed Medvedev’s statement and called for him to be banned from speaking.
As reported by Russian propaganda media, Medvedev spoke about the “completion of the SVO” on July 30 at the “Gvardeysk” youth forum, addressing volunteers before their deployment to the combat zone.
“We are really now at a very important point in the completion of a special military operation, and I am confident that you will contribute to our victory,” Medvedev said.
He called on the volunteers to “take care of themselves” and declared “victory is approaching.”
Russian reaction
Russians on social media ridiculed Medvedev’s phrase, noting that the Russian Federation has been approaching “this point” for the fifth year.
The compatriots of the odious Russian official suggest that he made such a statement while in his usual state of alcoholic intoxication.

Medvedev was reminded of the words that “Russia hasn’t even started yet,” and was also mockingly asked if they had finally managed to capture Malaya Tokmachka.
The Russians also ironize that the official confused the “end point of the SVO” with the fifth point, where the Russian Federation is actually now.
They called for Medvedev not to be allowed to speak, since in his permanent state he is only capable of writing memoirs “with which the residents of the “great country” will wipe their asses.”
As OBOZ.UA reported, Dmitry Medvedev previously made a number of provocative statements that traditionally combine geopolitics, historical allusions and his own interpretation of reality. This time, Germany, the West in general and the Ukrainian authorities came under attack. Medvedev stated that Germany is allegedly ruled by “ideological and biological descendants of the Nazis”. He also stated that the West, in his opinion, is “provoking a nuclear conflict” and stated that Russia will be able to achieve its goals regarding Ukraine both diplomatically and on the battlefield.
