I had the privilege of participating in the UK–Ukraine Defence Tech Forum, where I shared the view that the Russian-Ukrainian war has fundamentally reshaped the nature of modern warfare.
Armored vehicles, which have been the basis of offensive operations since 1915, have become defenseless against cheap drones, and therefore, their use in other types of combat is impossible today.
High-precision weapons that used GPRS positioning have lost their effectiveness due to the development of electronic warfare.
Air defense is undergoing perhaps the biggest transformation. The emergence of a large number of small and cheap drones has made the use of extremely expensive missiles for air defense systems economically impractical.
The airspace above the battlefield became inaccessible to manned aircraft and turned it into an auxiliary means of air defense. Aviation needs modernization and the ability to conduct reconnaissance and strike from completely different distances.
The sea space has gradually been occupied by naval drones. Now powerful ships hide in protected ports.
This is not just technology. All of this requires a complete rethinking of the forms and means of application. As a result, the military doctrine was revised. This will lead to a revision of the principles of organizing the Armed Forces and, ultimately, to defense planning.
These challenges are not just for Ukraine. They are challenges for everyone. Global security is no longer based on old guarantees – it is built on dynamics, technology and a willingness to change. We made our choice and pay a high price for it every day, but in return we were given a chance to survive. And we invite you to make this choice with us. To not only survive, but to win. And not just today, but in everything that lies ahead.

Absolutely true.
The war in Ukraine has shown that adaptability, technology, and innovation are now the real pillars of defense and security.
Those who refuse to evolve will be left behind — those who choose to change will survive and lead the future.
Ukraine is not only fighting for its freedom, but shaping the future of global defense.
Alessio Rebola check out the stats of the new warfare in use. Now imagine if UA would surrendered in 2022 and bacame part of ruissian warmachine against west.

A post from the General from 1 week ago:
I had the opportunity to take part in a thought-provoking discussion on leadership in times of crisis during the annual Arzinger conference.
What do you do when the rules no longer apply, when time is scarce, and when there’s no room for error? In such moments, the ability to make decisions — and take full responsibility for them — becomes essential. Confidence, experience, and competence matter. So does the courage to act.
When I served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I realized how crucial it is to have your own opinion — and to stand by it. No matter who you’re speaking to. Because the decisions you make in such roles are measured not in abstract metrics, but in human lives.
Grateful for the powerful exchange of ideas and for the chance to reflect on what true leadership demands.
Three years ago, we faced a stark choice: to fight or to vanish. And we made our decision – we chose to fight.
Not only did we manage to stop and push back the most powerful enemy in the world, but we also redefined the very nature of modern warfare. As a result, Ukraine has become home to one of the most advanced and adaptive armed forces of our time.
We have the experience. We have the people who continue to defend. And that resilience has elevated our country – from being merely a subject of global politics to becoming a full-fledged and respected player on the geopolitical stage.
These themes – and many others – were at the heart of the opening discussion at the Ukrainian School of Management, a new space for leadership and critical thinking.
Thank you for the opportunity to reflect on what truly matters.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi Civilisation let your country down. The drip drip feed of weapons and support was a major contributing factor that allowed the Russians to gain and then dig in and hold territory. They were then able to create supply routes and fortify their positions.
Now, your warriors are both defending their sovereign territory from further Russian incursion and aggression and also attacking and taking back Ukraine land.
Good luck to ALL Ukrainians in this ALTRUISTIC FIGHT!
