A Robinson helicopter with three FSB officers on board has disappeared in Yakutia . On July 19, its emergency beacon went off and it has now been found broken.
“As a result of search and rescue operations, the Robinson aircraft was found in a completely destroyed state. The bodies of the pilot and three passengers were found,” the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation reported on Telegram .
As noted, the helicopter disappeared in the Aldan-Uchursky ridge area on July 19. The media reported that in addition to the pilot, there were three FSB officers on board.

The FAA changed training requirements before pilots could fly Robinson choppers. Since then, Robinson helos have a decent safety record. The problem in the US was a training problem.
What I wonder about is the weather. There could also be a maintenance problem as well. I doubt the Rooskis have implemented the same training requirements as established by the FAA.
