The situation in Kyiv remains difficult.
Heating has been restored in Kyiv’s Troyeshchyna district . First Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development, Alena Shkrum, announced this on Facebook .
She noted that this residential area of the capital suffered the most from the Russian attacks on heating generation. Heat supply was restored thanks to the round-the-clock work of emergency crews, the Ministry of Development representative added.

“A total of 840 workers are part of 176 teams, including 83 teams (345 people) additionally recruited from other regions, Kyiv enterprises, and Ukrzaliznytsia,” she clarified.
Shkrum emphasized that even after heating is restored, buildings need time to warm up. Sometimes this process can take several days.
In addition, work continues to thaw individual risers and eliminate localized faults in residential buildings and public institutions in the capital. However, the situation in Kyiv remains challenging.
“As of the morning of February 8, 1,126 homes in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts remained without heat due to the shutdown of Thermal Power Plant No. 4 following the shelling. Crews are currently continuing to address 287 emergency situations in residential buildings and public sector facilities,” the deputy minister added.
As a reminder, Troyeshchyna was left without heating following another attack by Russian occupation forces on the capital in the second half of January. At that time, checkpoints were set up in the residential area .
