Ukrainian defenders have destroyed over a thousand tanks of the Russian occupation forces since the beginning of 2025. The invaders’ armored vehicles at
the front are turning into piles of burning scrap.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky , on Thursday, April 25. He also posted a video on his official Facebook page showing the Defense Forces burning enemy military equipment with well-aimed strikes.
“Our soldiers are turning the tanks and armored vehicles of the Russian occupiers into piles of burning scrap metal,” Syrsky wrote.

According to him, the aggressor country’s losses in tanks alone since the beginning of this year have already exceeded a thousand and amount to 1,031 units.

“Thank you to our defenders for their professional combat work. The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine!” – said the commander-in-chief.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the day before, Syrskyi named Russia’s losses in manpower since the beginning of 2025. According to him, Ukraine’s defenders continue to methodically destroy the occupiers along the entire front line.

To be honest, tanks are not such an important weapon in this war … at least, not anymore. They were in 2022 and maybe early 2023, but since then, they are useful only locally and occasionally. Drones are what rule the battlefield.
However, it’s still great to see the destruction of roach tanks. Too bad, the days of roach tanks being towed away by tractors and turret tossing are largely over.
