“He will feel it on his own skin”: Budanov made a statement about new strikes on Russia

Ukraine will continue to strike Russia unless the Kremlin stops its war and terror of civilians. Ukrainian attacks in response will deepen, and our combat power will grow.

This was stated by the Head of the Presidential Office Kirill Budanov in an interview with the Latvian TV channel LTV. He emphasized that the aggressor country will feel the consequences of the war even more strongly on its own territory.

Ukraine will not back down from defending its own territory

Kyrylo Budanov emphasized that Ukraine is not the initiator of this war, but is resisting Russian aggression, which has been going on since 2014 and entered a full-scale phase in 2022. According to him, Ukraine will continue the fight as long as necessary to protect its people, territory, and future.

He noted that Russia has the opportunity to cease hostilities, while Ukraine is defending its own land and cannot simply give it up.

Strikes on Russia may become more powerful

Separately, the head of the OP commented on the prospect of increased Ukrainian strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation after the recent attack by a long-range drone, which traveled about 3,000 km and reached the Russian Arctic.

“If Russia does not stop its hostilities against us, it is clear that it will feel it even more and more strongly on its own skin. Our strikes will become deeper and more powerful,” he assured.

As a reminder, Budanov previously stated that he expects negotiations with Russia to resume by the end of September, but does not predict a quick ceasefire. According to his assessment, conditions for a cessation of hostilities may only appear in the spring of 2027.
