He clarified that as a representative of the Navy, he cannot confirm or deny the nuances of the Russian’s death. At the same time, the spokesman emphasized that the chief of staff is a person who actually manages all processes, and drew attention to two points.

“The first is a high-level leader, and the second is that our enemies manage to understand what happened before they “withdraw”. And this is also an important detail. If I were in their place, I would start to worry,” said the soldier.

According to him, a certain part of the leadership of the Russian Black Sea Fleet should already be in Novorossiysk (RF). Just as the families of some Russian servicemen have actually already been forced to move there. This happened because now, in fact, the mentioned fleet and its personnel are serving in Novorossiysk.

“We cannot say with any guarantee where exactly their headquarters is located, but yes, we should probably look around at the place of his colleagues (the liquidated chief of staff – UNIAN),” the representative of the Navy added.

Pletenchuk noted that a specialist of the higher officer corps, the organizational nucleus on which the structure rests, was killed.

“The commander makes a decision, the commander makes a decision. He adopts some kind of strategy, tactics, but all staff work is entrusted to the chief of staff. He is a person who, one might say, is irreplaceable. Of course, there are other officers who also have experience and who can step up. But the experience that the chiefs of staff have is actually very extensive, he is the person who holds the “helm,” the spokesman emphasized.

He added that there may be many willing to take the position instead of Trankovsky, as it is a kind of stepping stone to becoming, for example, a commander. But one desire is not enough – not all applicants have the relevant experience and skills.

“And taking into account the fact that cronyism and corruption are still important in the Russian army, such positions can go to people who are not high-quality professionals. Therefore, any similar cases (liquidation of an occupier of this level – UNIAN) are positive for us “, the spokesperson emphasized.

The SBU added that Trankovsky is a war criminal who ordered the launch of cruise missiles from the Black Sea at civilian objects in Ukraine. In particular, he shelled Vinnytsia with Calibers in July 2022. Then 29 civilians died. Trankovskyi also repeatedly shelled Odesa and other peaceful cities, as a result of which many civilians died. He was a perfectly legitimate target in terms of the laws and customs of warfare.
