A 15-year-old boy was returned from the temporarily occupied territories. He had not seen his father for over three years and dreamed of returning to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

This was announced by  the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, Censor.NET reports.

As Lubinets said, the young man lived with his mother in the Ukrainian Autonomous Republic. After her death due to illness in 2022, he remained to live with his aunt, grandmother, and grandfather. However, the boy dreamed of returning to his father in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

“The father was unable to fulfill his dream of reunification and return the child on his own. That is why the boy’s father turned to the Ombudsman’s Office. Our team helped in the return of the young man and supported the father until the child was returned,” Lubinets said.
