The propagandist said that Russians should turn on the “red light” when AI is mentioned.

The head of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), Patriarch Kirill (Vladimir Gundyaev), read the same address to the deputies in the State Duma of the Russian Federation twice in a row, in which he warned against artificial intelligence .

As Agency. News writes , Kirill’s corresponding speech took place in the State Duma on January 30.

It is noted that the propagandist twice recited the same text “about the dangers of artificial intelligence”, the emergence of which, according to Gundyaev, could precede the apocalypse.

“It is important that artificial intelligence serves the benefit of people, and that people can control it. If we are to believe the forecasts of some experts, a generation of more advanced machine models, called “general artificial intelligence”, may soon appear, which will be able to think and learn, that is, improve like a person,” said the head of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Gundyaev repeated the same text, which was read from the “paper”, one more time. Moreover, in the video, which is being circulated on social networks, it is visible and audible that the Russian deputies began to applaud after the first part of the speech, and then the propagandist again made the same “address”.

According to him, whenever information about AI appears, “a red light should go on” in the minds of Russians.

He also compared AI to nuclear energy and claimed that artificial intelligence could be a harbinger of the coming of the Antichrist.

“We must remember that this Antichrist will not fall from the sky or emerge from the underworld. He will not be able to emerge in a context that will reject him. He can emerge and develop only in a context that will support him. It is unknown what role artificial intelligence will play in bringing this apocalyptic picture closer,” Gundyaev said.

Other statements by Kirill

Let us recall that the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, during the prayer service after the so-called inauguration ceremony of Vladimir Putin, wished that he would rule the Russian Federation “until the end of time .” At the beginning of his speech, the head of the ROC misspoke and addressed Putin as “your highness.” Usually, the patriarch calls Putin “your excellency.”

After this, Kirill stated that the head of state must make “fateful and formidable decisions” and cited the example of Alexander Nevsky, who “did not spare his enemies” and “became famous as a saint.”
