Greenland annexation will happen, says Trump

The US President is concerned about the security of American shores and therefore wants to get an island with a huge coastline.

Greenland’s accession to the United States will definitely happen. This was stated by US President Donald Trump, speaking to journalists at the White House after a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

So, one reporter asked Trump what his vision was regarding the “potential annexation of Greenland.”

“Well, I think it will happen,” the president replied.

According to Trump, he had not thought about this before, but Rutte could help resolve the Greenland issue.

“You know, Mark, you need this for international security, not just safety,” Trump said, addressing the NATO secretary general, who was sitting next to him.

Trump said there were too many “players” floating around the coast right now and that “we have to be careful.”

Rutte himself said with a smile that he does not want to get involved in the discussion about the ownership of Greenland, much less drag the entire NATO bloc into it, but he acknowledged that the issue of security in the Arctic is indeed relevant.

“When it comes to the High North and the Arctic, we are talking about the Chinese already using these routes and the Russians increasing their military presence. We know that we do not have enough icebreakers. That is why it is very important that the seven Arctic countries work together under the leadership of the United States to keep this region safe. We understand that the situation there is changing and our presence in this region is necessary,” Rutte said.

  1. Keep going with the craziness Trump. The stock market is already down another 550 points today. If this carries on the US will be in recession.

  2. My old friend and buddy Putin has annexed half of Ukraine, he just did it. I got his permission to this with Greenland and Panama.
