According to Darren Jones, London will continue to “support Ukraine with billions of pounds every year.”

The government of Great Britain is obliged to support Ukraine even more decisively against the background of fears that the future president of the United States, Donald Trump, may push Kyiv to give up the territories temporarily occupied by Russia. The Minister of Finance of the Kingdom, Darren Jones, said this in an interview with the BBC .

According to him, Ukraine should be able to restore its country in the form in which it was before, and “there should not be an element of concession to the illegal invasion by Russia.

He added that he would not comment on “hypothetical scenarios” of the policy of the future US administration, however, he noted that “our commitment to Ukraine as a country here in Great Britain is resolute.”

“We continue to support Ukraine with billions of pounds every year and support from our armed forces in line with our commitments to NATO,” the British government official said.

    • If it isn’t all hot air and the EU can provide Ukraine with enough aid, it won’t go down well with either russia or the US. If Trump does pull the rug from under Ukraine, the US will be out of the picture if it comes down to any peace settlement. I’m not sure Trump could live with the EU running the show while he watches from the sidelines.

      • It might not go down very well with the orange narcissist. He’ll be reduced to a clown who can only sit at home and damage the US from within while Ukraine and Europe are writing history.

          • I suppose all it takes is one person to take over leadership. Maybe … just maybe, that will be Merz.

              • There was a brief time during this war when it looked like Macron would rise up to become the leader the West so desperately needs, seeing Biden’s fluffy performance, but, as you say, he just fizzled away. I suppose a lot has to do with his unwise early elections that ended not as planned.
