This is the first batch of GLSDB missiles, the transfer of which was discussed a year ago.

The United States of America transferred GLSDB bombs to Ukraine . They are already being sent to the Ukrainian military to the front.

US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland announced this at a briefing in Kiev, writes RBC-Ukraine . It is noted that Washington continues to provide security assistance to Kyiv.

“This includes new investment and new weapons systems, such as light, small-diameter bombs that are already on their way to the front, as well as support for rebuilding Ukraine’s defense industrial base and our own to ensure we can continue to fight those who wants to steal freedom,” Nuland emphasized.

She also noted that since the start of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the Defense Forces have de-occupied 50% of the territories that the Russians tried to seize. In addition, the Black Sea Fleet and the Russian ground forces suffered significant damage.

Even the American army does not have such weapons. Ukraine will be the first country to use these bombs in combat.

Later , Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder confirmed that Ukraine could receive a new GLSDB long-range precision bomb from the United States. However, he did not specify the timing of the delivery of such shells.

The target engagement range is 150 km, the mass is 130 kg, the length is 1800 mm, and the mass of the warhead is 93 kg. These bombs can be produced with the M270 and HIMARS.
