Germany has increased the number of IRIS-T SLM air defense systems that are planned to be delivered to Ukraine to four — earlier, Germany announced the transfer of one such complex.
This is stated on the website of the German federal government. It is also noted that the budget for three additional IRIS-T SLM systems is currently available.
We will remind that at the beginning of June, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised to deliver one IRIS-T SLM complex to Ukraine “in the coming weeks.” At the same time, the federal government said at the time that the supply would take place by the end of the year. Now Germany says that the first system could be delivered in October, and another one is expected to be delivered by the end of the year.
The IRIS-T SLM system (organizationally one complex is a battery) consists of a surveillance radar, a control center and three launchers on which 24 anti-aircraft guided missiles are ready to be launched.
The Iris air defense system can intercept fighter jets, helicopters and drones within a radius of 40 kilometers and at an altitude of 25 kilometers. Short-range missiles and guided missiles, with which Russia is now shelling Ukrainian cities, can also be intercepted. It was previously reported that Ukraine submitted an application to the German government to purchase eleven batteries of Iris-T SLM anti-aircraft missile systems from German industry, which is considered one of the most modern and expensive air defense systems.

Germany’s behavior in this war is utterly deplorable. It will go down in history as a swindler and charlatan nation … once again.
One day one day soon the krauts will know their despicable behavior will be rewarded in kind. They may have a strong economy now, but shit happens in different ways. They’ll get theirs.
Poland and a few others have criticized Germany’s behavior in this war, but Germany is super arrogant and so it dismisses such opinions as trash. Every person who cares should boycott kraut products. This would get their attention straight forth!
