The prosecutor’s office believes that Russian military intelligence is involved in the cyberattack. Chancellor Angela Merkel said that German investigators had enough evidence of this.

The Chancellor also called Russia’s actions not an accidental episode, but part of a hybrid war.

Herr Merkel knows the EU will never impose new sanctions against Russia, it’s a cowards way of Germany getting out of sanctioning Russia directly. Instead, Germany will allow Nord Stream to be finished, as a way of punishing Russia.
