He thanked Berlin and Washington for this step.

The American Patriot anti-aircraft missile system promised by Germany has already arrived in Ukraine, strengthening its air defense.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in an evening video address. He noted that he had heard a report from the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Mykola Oleshchuk on shooting down “shahed” drones and countering Russian missiles.
“We can now say that our air defense has been strengthened. The German “Petriot” has arrived in Ukraine. I want to thank Germany and the United States for this step. We can do much more in the sky. Of course, there is still a lot of work ahead, and this is far from guaranteed protection, but nevertheless – more power for Ukraine,” the president noted.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, also reported on the situation at the front. “The Commander-in-Chief himself toured some of the brigades. The key issue is the provision of our military. What exactly is lacking – in each direction, in all our main positions. The distribution of shells and a sufficient number of drones, first of all. It is very important that in all the main directions it is felt that we have something to inflict maximum losses on the enemy,” Zelensky added.

On July 15, the General Staff reported that the Commander-in-Chief, together with the Chief of the Military Law Enforcement Service, would visit the area of responsibility of the 59th Brigade to clarify the circumstances of the losses among the personnel .
Already on July 19, Sirsky wrote that he was in the east of the country and attended combat training in reserve units.
