According to the Central Election Commission’s calculations, the ruling party is confidently in the lead. It takes the majority of votes in parliament.

The Central Election Commission of Georgia recognized the parliamentary elections as valid and announced the preliminary results of the vote . The ruling party is in the lead.

Thus, according to the results of processing 70.9% of the ballots, the parties receive:

• the ruling Georgian Dream party – 52.9% of the votes;
• “Coalition of Change” – 11.2%;
• “Unity – National Movement” – 9.8%;
• “Strong Georgia” – 9%;
• “Gakharia – For Georgia” – 8.2%.

Thus, only four opposition parties or blocs overcome the five percent barrier and enter the Georgian parliament.
