The Russian State Duma, commenting on the successful attack by Ukrainian drones on Moscow on June 18, urged Russians not to panic over missed strikes, as “this is even a good thing” and Russia supposedly has “the best air defense in the world.”

This was stated by the chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Defense, Andrey Kartapolov, reports  Censor.NET .

Dreams of “the best air defense”

The Russian general tried to convince a domestic audience that the burning infrastructure deep in the Russian Federation’s rear was supposedly part of a useful military training process.

” I declare with responsibility: we have the best air defense in the world, and the best in our country – no one has such a thing, it doesn’t exist today. And the fact that sometimes a drone flies somewhere quite deep is, on the one hand, even good, because we gain experience in repelling mass raids ,” says Kartapolov.

It should be noted that Kartapolov’s statement was made almost simultaneously with the threats of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who stated on the same day that Russia would continue massive missile strikes on Ukrainian cities precisely because of “explosive incidents” in Moscow.

Attack on Moscow on June 18

• On the night of June 18, drones attacked Moscow. The oil refinery in Kapotny was hit, and the “Carpet” plan was implemented at four of the capital’s airports.
