Sergei Gaidai noted that the Russian invaders are trying to hold back the advance of Ukrainian troops.

The head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai, hopes that a full-scale de-occupation of the  Lugansk region will begin in the near future .

He said this on the air of an informational telethon, answering a question about which settlements the Russian occupiers left in the Lugansk region.

“No one just completely runs away, leaving our Ukrainian cities and villages completely empty. All the same, there remains a contingent of the Russian army that is trying to restrain the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, fierce battles are still going on. But, we hope that a full-scale de-occupation of the Lugansk region, – said the chairman of the OVA.

At the same time, Gaidai added, during the day he received a lot of photos and videos from Svatovo, Starobelsky district, Troitsky, in which “columns of both collaborators and the military are driving … the Russian army is running.”

“In Shchastya, there are several kilometers of queues to leave. And in Stanytsia Luhanska, the same. For some time there was even 12 kilometers – a huge line to exit towards Lugansk and the Russian Federation,” Gaidai said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, today, September 11, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that as a result of the successful counter-offensive of the Ukrainian troops in the Kharkiv direction, the Russian invaders are leaving their positions and fleeing with the loot deep into the temporarily occupied territories or into Russia.

In particular, the invaders in a hurry left the city of Svatovo, Luhansk region, in 4 trucks, 20 armored vehicles and stole more than 20 cars of local residents.

Also today, on September 11, the Ukrainian flag was raised in Peschanoe, Luhansk region .
