South Korea has launched an investigation into the circumstances to determine whether export control regulations were violated.
South Korea denied reports of oil product shipments to the Russian Federation through its ports. Seoul stated that it complies with international sanctions against Moscow.
According to Reuters , the South Korean presidential office called accusations that Russia imported fuel from South Korean ports inappropriate.

The day before, Ukraine’s chief sanctions envoy, Vladislav Vlasyuk, stated that such supplies could have mitigated the consequences of the fuel crisis in Russia, which arose due to Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries.
Vlasyuk’s statement followed a publication in The Guardian. Citing port documents and ship tracking data, the publication reported that the fuel was loaded onto seven tankers in South Korean ports. Among them were vessels under UK and EU sanctions.
The South Korean presidential office emphasized that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Seoul has been “consistently applying sanctions and export control measures against Russia” in coordination with the international community.
At the same time, South Korea has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the shipments to determine whether export control regulations were violated. If violations are confirmed, Seoul promises to take the necessary measures.

Wow brand new political word…inappropriate. I guess I put that next to other politicians saying appropriate response, undying support and the list goes on.
Yeah, it’s all so terribly pathetic.
