He had classified information about strategic enterprises, as well as access to secret satellite images. The perpetrator faces life imprisonment.

The SBU, with the assistance of the Minister for Strategic Industries, has exposed a high-ranking Russian “mole” in Ukrainian government agencies. The suspect was detained during a meeting at the Ministry for Strategic Industries.
According to the SBU, the agent turned out to be an official of the State Space Agency, who had classified information about strategic enterprises, as well as access to secret satellite images.
It is noted that the Russian FSB recruited this agent in 2024. Since then, the Ukrainian special service has been documenting every step of the attacker and his interactions with Russian curators.
The SBU also used this “mole” to disinform the enemy, in order to transmit through him information that was beneficial to Ukraine to the enemy.
As the investigation established, the agent was recruited by the Russians through his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don and collaborates with the occupiers. He agreed to collaborate with the enemy for money, and after his planned retirement in the summer of 2025, he wanted to move to the Russian Federation.
Among the tasks that the FSB set for the “mole” was the collection and transfer of classified information that he possessed due to his official duties. “This is data on the locations of military-industrial complex facilities that manufacture navigation systems, reserve work stations for strategic enterprises, military warehouses, as well as information on Ukraine’s production of high-precision weapons and satellite images,” the report says.
The Russian intelligence service hoped to use this data for air strikes on strategically important objects in Ukraine.
During the search, a mobile phone containing anonymous chats in instant messengers and email, which he used to communicate with the FSB, was seized from the detainee.

The agent was notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (“high treason committed under martial law”). The question of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is being decided. The offender faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
Traitors of Ukraine
A collaborator was detained in Volyn , who headed the occupation “Russian police” in Nova Kakhovka in the Kherson region in the first months of the full-scale invasion. The SBU notes that at the end of 2024, the suspect returned to Ukraine and settled in the Volyn region, renting housing from a local resident, where he was detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.

The SBU did a great job catching him, using him, and fooling the cockroaches.
