Consul of the Estonian Consulate General in St. Petersburg Mart Lyatte was detained by FSB officers. This was reported by “Interfax” with reference to the Public Relations Center of the department.
The consul was detained “red-handed while receiving classified materials from a Russian citizen,” the FSB reported. What kind of materials they are is not specified.
This activity is incompatible with the status of a diplomatic worker and is clearly hostile towards the Russian Federation. Measures will be taken against the foreign diplomat in accordance with the norms of international law.
There are six consuls at the Estonian Consulate General in St. Petersburg , including Marta Lätte.
In April, FSB officers detained Oleksandr Sosonyuk, the consul of Ukraine in St. Petersburg, also, allegedly, upon receiving information of a classified nature from a Russian citizen. According to the FSB, Sosonyuk tried to gain access to databases of Russian citizens.
Sosonyuk was expelled from Russia. Ukraine, which called what happened to Sosonyuk a provocation, responded by expelling one of the diplomats of the Russian embassy in Kiev.

Sounds like a false accusation or inveiglement at best. It is a diplomat from a Baltic country and I am sure that the mafiosi hate the three countries with a passion.
No doubt the FSB set him up, one of their goons passing the diplomatic something, while his buddies were hiding around the corner.
