We announce the architectural competition for the project memorial in Bucha on the territory of the Temple of the Holy Apostle Andrew Pervozvannoy and All Saints.
This place is a symbol of the atrocities of the army of the occupying country. It was here in the fraternal grave where 116 of our people who died from shelling, executions and deliberate killings by Russian troops during the occupation were buried.
It is our solemn duty to construct a dignified memorial complex to perpetuate the memory of these tragic events and honor all those lost.
During my working visit to the United States this year, I had a fruitful meeting with Dr. Elizabeth L. Hillman — the president and chief executive officer of National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York — and her team.
Certainly, they are world-class experts in creating memorials.
Today we signed an online cooperation agreement between our city and the 9/11 Memorial. The Museum will help disseminate information about the competition to attract the best professionals, advise on the development of this project and provide support in its implementation.
Contest details, registration form and additional information for participation will be posted on the Buchanan City Council pages today. We invite creative, talented and caring architects to join and present their proposals.

Marauding cutthroats and savages were able to inflict inhuman atrocities in this peaceful suburb, because of the appalling foreign policy failures of the world’s leading democratic powers.
This was compounded by the fact that those same savage filth continued their atrocities with impunity throughout south and east Ukraine.
