The Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany Andrei Melnyk refused to participate in the ceremony of honoring the end of World War II in Europe held in Berlin on May 2 together with representatives of Russia.

The ambassador’s direct language: ′′ Even in the most terrible dream, I could not imagine putting wreaths near a country that has been fighting a cynical and bloody war in eastern Ukraine for over 6 years. As of today, 14 thousand Ukrainians have been killed in the still ongoing Russian aggression.”
