She shares some harsh truth about what the Russians are doing. How the Russians soldier’s tell their wives and women of Russia of what they are doing to women and children of Ukraine. Their response is horrific.

A couple of days ago Serbian President asked, how many civilians need to die for the President of Ukraine to accept russian demands. This question sounds especially cynical from a leader of the only country in Europe that refuses to impose economic sanctions on russia. Serbia’s President said earlier, Serbia supported Ukraine’s sovereignty but would watch out for its own economic interests and wouldn’t impose sanctions. I guess Serbia would prefer for Ukraine to be wiped off the face of the earth so Serbians could continue their business dealings with russian murderers.

Meanwhile, Ukrainians strongly relate to the former prime minister of Israel, Golda Meir’s words: “We intend to remain alive. Our neighbors want to see us dead. This is not a question that leaves much room for compromise.”

We get to hear in media some of the intercepted phone conversations between russian soldiers and their wives/mothers. The soldiers brag about killing Ukrainian children and raping women and promise to bring home stolen TVs and iPhones, wives and mothers laugh and encourage to kill more. When the occupied territories get liberated we will hear the hair-raising stories of inhuman atrocities of russian invaders committed in a very personal way. Russian rockets that destroy our homes are horrible, but what russian soldiers are doing in Ukrainian towns and villages, killing, raping, torturing, looting is demonic. Sorry, we are not ready to discuss with foreigners the topic of “good, innocent russians” – recently it seems to be a popular idea.

We will disappoint Serbian President and all other world leaders who would like to see Ukraine surrender to russia. Putin is set to destroy Ukraine, our very existence is not acceptable to him. But we intend to remain alive and we will fight for life and for the future of our children.

Today was a beautiful day, temperatures were up to +9C in Kyiv. Nick and I went for a walk. In one part of our usual route, we had to make a detour as a pedestrian walk that used to be paved with tiles had been removed and trenches had been dug. Our beautiful city continues preparing for urban battles.

Our streets and neighborhoods are quiet when air raid sirens are off. The number of cars on the roads is just a fraction of the traffic we used to have. So we can even hear birds in the city – it’s never been possible before! There are not as many people, but there are still kids playing on the playground. It’s both easy and it’s hard to become hopeful. But it’s easier when we remember and hold on to God’s promises.
