France is accelerating the supply of air defense missiles to Ukraine and transferring licenses for their production.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated this during a meeting of the “Coalition of the Willing”, in which he participated in a video format,  Censor.NET reports .

Help for Kyiv

Macron recalled that the interceptors are being supplied as part of the missile defense coalition created on July 13. 

” We have a coalition of France, as well as a coalition that was launched on July 13 to counter ballistic missiles. We must accelerate their supply. We, from the French side, will accelerate our work and will also accelerate our interaction with colleagues on the transfer of licenses, in order to have the opportunity and the capacity to manufacture the appropriate means independently. But it is obvious that now there is a certain shortage of interceptor missiles, which is of absolute importance for people’s lives ,” he added.

Pressure on Russia

Separately, the French president stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine’s energy sector ahead of the winter period. According to him, Paris will do everything possible to help Ukraine prepare for winter.

• The French leader recalled Russia’s sabotage attempts against European countries to force them to abandon aid to Ukraine. He called for calm and continued support for Kyiv.
