French companies Turgis Gaillard and Renault are developing the Chorus cruise missile, an analogue of Ukraine’s Flamingo.
This was reported by Zone Militaire.
The missile is expected to carry a 500 kg warhead and have a range of up to 3,000 km. The planned unit cost is about €100,000.
No further technical details have been disclosed.
France’s defense ministry has described Chorus as a direct analog of the Flamingo missile.

“As for drones and remotely controlled munitions, under the Chorus program, which we are implementing jointly with Renault and Turgis Gaillard, we intend to develop an analog of the Ukrainian Flamingo missile,” said General Delegate for Armaments Patrick Pailloux at a French Senate hearing.
France does not plan large-scale procurement of Chorus missiles. The program is aimed at testing Renault’s ability to mass-produce such systems if needed.
France earlier said it plans to increase its stockpiles of loitering munitions by 400% and anti-aircraft and air-launched missiles by 30% by 2030.
That says a lot. France has a large and important arms industry. The Flamingo must have some very good features and performance for them wanting to copy it.

Maybe they have some other deals on the table.
