France used 300 million euros at the end of 2024 alone.
French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said that Paris is using money received as interest from frozen Russian assets to purchase military equipment and weapons for Ukraine .

“Only at the end of 2024, France returned 300 million euros (interest from frozen Russian assets – ed.). With these funds, 12 new Caesar guns were ordered for delivery to Ukraine, as well as 155-mm shells, Aster missiles, AASM guided bombs, firing points and Mistral missiles,” he said in an interview with La Tribune dimanche on September 20.
In addition, the minister hopes that other European countries will follow France’s example and also introduce projects to train Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers. There are currently 2,000 Ukrainians at their training grounds.
“I hope so and I am working on it. We need to be able to train soldiers who will join this brigade – Anna of Kiev (Queen of France and daughter of Yaroslav the Wise, – UNIAN). In addition, Ukraine needs to create more than a dozen new brigades – a colossal task! We are trying to provide them with the best military characteristics, both in terms of doctrine and in terms of equipment,” the official concluded.
