The exercises are taking place in Estonia in conditions close to the Ukrainian front.

At large-scale NATO military exercises taking place in Estonia, France is training a special unit that “will be useful in Ukraine.” The French publication RTL writes about this .

It is noted that 14,000 NATO troops are taking part in the exercises in Estonia. The goal is to show Russia that invading this country would be a bad idea.

“And our army took the opportunity to test the skills of a new unit, which will be very useful in Ukraine. The FRAN group is responsible for undetected penetration beyond enemy lines, providing intelligence information and capturing trenches,” writes the French publication.

Senior Sergeant Quentin, who is participating in the exercise, told the reporter about the skills his unit is practicing.

“We will penetrate closer to enemy lines or even bypass them. From there we will have two decisions from an intelligence point of view. Launch a drone or the old-fashioned way – with our eyes,” he said.

According to the French soldier, during training in Estonia they can practice their skills on approximately the same flat terrain as in Ukraine. “So this is very exciting for us,” he explains.

These soldiers train to sit in the bushes for hours in camouflage clothing and use compact drones for reconnaissance. In addition to simply monitoring enemy activity, this specialized unit is also responsible for identifying enemy positions, searching for entry points into enemy trenches, and even coordinating the actions of assault units.

“We’ll just be there to assist the units that are about to get into the trench with the drone, saying, ‘Okay, there’s one guy, there’s two guys, 20 meters in front of you,'” explains a participant in the exercise.

NATO countries are discussing sending troops to Ukraine

As UNIAN wrote, the Estonian government is “seriously” discussing the possibility of sending troops to western Ukraine to take over “rear” functions and thereby free up Ukrainian troops to fight at the front.

According to sources in The New York Times , NATO allies are getting closer to sending military personnel to Ukraine to train Ukrainian troops. This step will be another blurring of the previous “red line” and could drag the United States and Europe into a military conflict even further.

  1. Nato will need 1.4 mil troops, aircraft carriers, stealth bombers, helicopters and a huge arsenal of missiles to stop the enemy. Now don’t fucking ask how Ukraine will survive you muthafuckas!
