Four brigades were “naked”: Zelensky revealed problems in the “counteroffensive fist”

According to him, four brigades from the “counteroffensive fist” were unable to fight.

An audit is now being carried out in the Defense Forces to fully and objectively understand the situation in all directions.

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said this at a press conference.

“Now the Commander-in-Chief (Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky – UNIAN) is conducting an audit. He wants to be in every place, in every brigade in different directions. To understand and draw conclusions. In particular, the issue of reserves. Rotations. We need to put things in order and put point,” he emphasized.

According to him, people who are fighting should know how long they are fighting and when they can rest and recover.

“For this, we need to prepare reserves normally. They were not prepared normally. And this is also a fact. We must recognize our weaknesses. They were and are. And we need to correct it,” Zelensky said.

According to him, an audit is needed after 2 years of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukrainian territory. he added that it is necessary to understand how many people were mobilized, what percentage of them were at the front.

The President of Ukraine noted that there are many problems with untimely implementation of agreements with partners on arms supplies.

“We had a fist for a counter-offensive. I won’t say where and how much was prepared. Until now, four brigades from that package are “naked”. Four brigades without the equipment that was agreed upon, signed. They shook hands. But they didn’t get there. And these four brigades could not fight because they stood and waited for equipment. There are questions and they need answers. Therefore, an audit is needed,” Zelensky said.

    • Because they weren’t. That’s all nonsense, Zelensky obviously wants to present a scapegoat for the shortage of manpower in combat units. But that’s the result of him firing recruitment officers without replacing them and not passing the mobilisation bill. Seems to me that the president increasingly refuses to accept reality. But wishful thinking is the road to ruin for Ukraine. This nonsense has to stop and unavoidable decisions to be made.

      • Well Mr Gray, many years ago I learned that I was not capable of reading minds. Therefore, unless proven false, I accept the words of individuals including Mr Zelensky. I can not imagine Mr Zelensky making such statements without having some basis in fact. Personally I hold judgement until I see all 5he facts and not idle speculation. Not speaking as a military individual but rather someone who knows how to add one plus one.

        • Well, you don’t have to read minds to accept well known facts, Captain. And facts are, the firing of the recruitment officers led to a reduction of recruit numbers, and the inflow wasn’t stro g enough to keep the numbers in combat units up. There’s now a crisis, with some brigades being down to 33% of manpower (some reports even say 20%). Zaluzhny did warn about this, but the mobilisation bill is still debated in the Rada, since effing December. These are the facts and the only thing unknown is what the hell is going on in Zelensky’s mind to point fingers at others while his own damn party doesn’t do its job!
If I was to speculate, I’d say he’s on drugs and losing control. But I’d love to be proven wrong on that. ☹

  1. Reserves were not prepared because there wasn’t sufficient manpower for that. And that’s Zelensky’s fault, who still hasn’t got the mobilisation bill passed. To force cooks, paper shufflers and truck drivers to the frontline can’t be a solution, but is a measure of despair. Quite obviously, the president wants to avoid to mobilize additional recruits, but that’s impossible. Had he had done that months ago, combat units wouldn’t face such a shortage now.

    • Zelensky surely fucked up. But as of now, there’s not even enough ammo for all units who are already at the front. Sending more troops with empty rifles won’t help much, unless you want to use their dead bodies as road-blocks.

      • Sure, Mike, there’s two major problems, and the ammunition crisis is the bigger one. But then, why the hell isn’t Zelenskyy talking about that, but acting as if he’s a military expert now and pointing fingers at Zaluzhny? What he should do, urgently, is raise hell among Nato members to send every single shell in their arsenals to the front! I’m very concerned that he’s having a nervous breakdown and losing track of the most important issue right now. ☹
