The main fountain from the theater square was also stolen.

The Russian invaders stole the fountain, which the Ukrainian authorities were supposed to install in the Kalmiussky district of Mariupol , and brought it to Khartsyzsk, which was occupied in 2014.

This was announced by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petr Andryushchenko.

“We have found our fountain. True, not yet the main one from the theater square. But a similar one. New. Prepared for launch in the spring in front of the restored Neptune pool in the Kalmiussky district. Recently, like everything worthwhile and unique in Mariupol, it was also sent for repair and the Russians stole it. However, now this is another gift from the occupiers to Khartsyzsk,” he wrote and posted a corresponding video.

Andryushchenko stressed that, of course, one feels joy for the children who live in the occupation, but the volume of stolen goods in Mariupol is outrageous.

“Rage. Just rage,” he summed up.

Note that Khartsyzsk, to which the Russians presented the stolen fountain, has been under occupation in the so-called “DPR” since 2014. 

Earlier, UNIAN reported that the  Russians stole  original paintings by Kuindzhi and Aivazovsky, as well as unique icons from the museums of the occupied Mariupol.

Local history and art museums were left without collections, which are the cultural heritage of Mariupol and the region, and the institutions themselves were destroyed. 

Trolleybuses were also stolen. They were repainted in the colors of the United Russia party and planned to be launched in Donetsk.
