Former Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin will be appointed Ukraine’s ambassador to the Netherlands, a source in the president’s team told Suspilny .

“As for the position of Prosecutor General, the decision regarding Kostin’s successor has not yet been made, but is being prepared,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
Andriy Kostin’s resignation from the position of Prosecutor General
As UNIAN reported, on October 22, Andriy Kostin announced that he had resigned from the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine. According to him, the President of Ukraine held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council regarding the obviously immoral situation with fake disabilities of state officials, and now inspections are underway at all levels in the state, and criminal proceedings are being investigated.
Kostin added that many shameful facts of abuse have also been established in the system of Ukrainian prosecutors’ offices.
On October 28, a draft resolution was registered in the Verkhovna Rada to approve the President’s dismissal of Kostin from the position of Prosecutor General.
On October 29, the Verkhovna Rada voted to dismiss Kostin from his position. The resolution “On granting consent to the dismissal of Andriy Kostin from the position of Prosecutor General by the President of Ukraine” (registration number 12153) was supported by 255 people’s deputies.
