Forget about peace.
Forget about negotiations.

The soldiers and commanders of our 431st Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion and I support Madyar’s opinion. The only way to achieve peace is to fight and exhaust russia on the battlefield.
The demographics are devastating for both sides, arguably worse for Ukraine as the war continues. What does bleed them dry mean in the end? A stop along the current line of contact? A Russian withdrawal/surrender- unlikely. So what is the endstate that a bleed them dry approach yields?
Todd Brown is nowhere near the war zone, knows nothing of what he opines on, despite the “impressive” letters and titles after his name. It’s the likes of him that have been saying for 4 years that Ukraine has no chance. In fact, russia is being devastated in the field in terms of KIA/MIA ratios that far benefit Ukraine and gaining little ground, at literally slower than a snail’s pace in the past 2 years at an unimaginable cost in terms of men and materiel. If the USA, leading NATO, were to take matters w/ putin seriously, instead of siding with him, the russian “army” would in fact be forced to collapse. “Bleed them dry” means eliminating more russians per month than can be recruited to fight, which is happening. No one in the discussion below understands that the technological advances happening in Ukraine are what’s making this difference in KIA/WIA ratios in Ukraine’s favor, and it’s not only about drones, which is only what’s being talked about in this post. Unfortunately, without US support, “bleeding russia dry” takes a lot more time than it should.

Ukraine lacks the manpower Russia has. Attrition through technology, better and sooner than Russia develops, is what is saving Ukraine.
If the West was not an utter failure four years ago, the invaders would have already been expelled.

As brutal as it may sound to some, Madyar is right. It’s these nuances (or maybe not so subtle) that many living unhindered lives, away from the war zone just don’t get. No amount of wishful thinking, sweet talking a belligerent such as Russia will ever work. Sometimes the only option is the heavy lifting of beating them back. And, the sooner the better, to avoid more loss of life and misery.

I have come to a sad conclusion that it isn’t just current moron in the WH, it’s everyone who forgets history, or white washes history or thinks if we’re kind that will change the world. IMO, Japan is a perfect case study. We needed to destroy every imperialistic thought the Japanese grew with for centuries and then let the Japanese rebuild their culture to respect others. Russia is no different, perhaps worst.
Russia is indeed the worst. It’s been hiding behind its nuclear shield to committ attrocities for decades and continues doing so. Case in point is the intimidation their nukes has on Merz, whose hardon about Taurus missiles for Ukraine was replaced by a limp noodle when time came to fess up on his promise.
