For the first time in Ukraine, all 15 power units at nuclear power plants were simultaneously launched .

This was reported by the press service of the State Enterprise “NAEK” Energoatom “, on Sunday, January 30, the fourth power unit of the Rivne NPP was put into operation.

“On January 30, at 05:45, power unit No. 4 of the Rivne nuclear power plant was connected to the grid after the completion of the medium scheduled preventive maintenance and refueling of nuclear fuel. The increase in power continues,” the report says.

It is noted that there are no comments on the operation of the main equipment of operating power units and NPP personnel, the equipment is operating in the specified mode.

“For the first time in the history of nuclear energy in Ukraine, SE NAEK Energoatom operates all 15 power units simultaneously!” the press service stressed.

On January 25, two nuclear power units were disconnected from the power system – at the Khmelnitsky NPP and at the Zaporozhye NPP.

On January 26, the first power unit of the Khmelnytsky NPP was connected to the power grid. On January 27, the fourth one was connected – at the Zaporozhye NPP.
