“Flamingo” attacked the positions of the occupiers in Donetsk: many arrivals are reported

On Wednesday, August 26, powerful explosions were heard in temporarily occupied
Donetsk. Ukrainian Flamingo missiles attacked the positions of the Russian invaders.

This is reported by local publications. Relevant footage has also been published online.

Local channels initially reported five or six landings in the northern part of the city. After that, a second strike was allegedly carried out.

“The capital of Donbass has just been shelled with missiles. Six arrivals are reported in the northern part of the city. Details are being clarified,” local public forums write.

The arrivals were allegedly in the area of the railway station, Donetsk City, and near the Donbas Arena.

There are also reports online of various rocket hits allegedly in the central part of the city behind the Central Department Store, near the Druzhba Palace. In total, local social media counted at least 13 hits.

The Telegram channel “Exilenova+” published a video from Donetsk. However, it does not specify where exactly the strikes took place.

“Well, you understand that 5 missiles, which are in a very large deficit, will not be spent on “simple” targets,” the channel’s analysts noted.

Analysts suggest that one of the targets could have been the command post of the 51st combined arms Russian army, which operates in the Donetsk direction.

Meanwhile, local propaganda channels are reporting on the activity of Ukrainian drones over Donetsk. They are also warning local residents not to photograph or film anything.

They are writing about the closure of some streets in the city.

In particular, traffic on Ilyich Avenue is blocked. There, an arrival was recorded at the former “Ukrgosnyiplastmass”, where the occupiers assembled and stored drones.

The corresponding video from the arrival site was published online.

There is currently no official confirmation that Donetsk was attacked by Flamingo missiles, nor about the consequences of the strikes.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of August 14, occupied Donetsk was attacked by kamikaze drones. The hit fell on the Galaktika shopping center, which caused a large-scale fire.
