The 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was the first in the world to use the landing of ground-based kamikaze robots deep behind enemy lines. This happened during the second season of the military operation “Vivaldi” in the Limansk direction.
The Third Army Corps reported this on Telegram . Due to the suddenness of the actions, the effective work of electronic warfare and air defense, the Russians were unable to detect the assault groups in time and reveal the intention of the Ukrainian command.
Detour maneuver and deoccupation of territories
During the active operations, the Ukrainian defenders liberated the settlements of Shandryholove and Derylove, and also took control of Drobysheve. The military did not storm the enemy positions “head-on”, but carried out a detour maneuver through ravines and gullies from north to south. This allowed them to quickly advance and take control of another 40 square kilometers.

In total, since the beginning of Operation Vivaldi, the Defense Forces have returned more than 125 square kilometers of Ukrainian land.

At the same time, the fighters isolated the battlefield: they destroyed the crossings over the Black Stallion, attacked command posts and ammunition depots, leaving the Russian troops without reserves and communications.

Robots go into battle first
The second season of the operation began with the landing of ground robots by the Third Army Corps . Heavy bombers of the Third Assault Corps dropped kamikaze ground robots deep behind the Russian troops.
The corps emphasized that the main goal of such technological solutions is to save the lives of Ukrainian infantry. That is why robotic systems are first sent to the most dangerous areas .

In total, since the beginning of the operation, over two seasons, enemy personnel losses have reached over 3,000 people.
It is also noted that the Third Army Corps is holding back the forces of three Russian armies at once every day. The actions of the Ukrainian military have prevented the enemy from transferring significant forces to the Kupyansk direction.
During the operation, the military acted thanks to clear planning and interaction between brigades. The movement continues.

Recall that the losses of the Russian army during Operation Vivaldi exceeded expectations. Ukrainian forces continue to advance in the Lyman direction, and the Russian Federation’s attempts to counterattack are leading to new losses.
As OBOZ.UA wrote, in the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces may be preparing an operation to bypass and block Yampol. According to Ivan Yakovyna, the liberation of the city may deprive Russia of the opportunity to surround Sloviansk and Kramatorsk from the north.

Very cool!
