The forest fires in Siberia are completely out of control. Russian firefighters were not able to stop the raging fires so far. A territory the size of the Rhineland has been devastated and it could become even worse. The forests are important for the global climate, as they bind CO2 and produce oxygen.
One of the main reasons firefighters cannot extinguish the fires is that they, other than the military, don’t have enough helicopters, and Siberia lacks roads for the firetrains.

Choppers to kill kids in Syria and a bridge to stolen Crimea, but no rotors for the fire department and no roads in eastern Russia… bah!
BS. The reason the Moskali aren’t bothering to fight the fires is because it is legal for them if the cost out weighs the benefits. They don’t care about the air quality, just the cost of fighting them. You’re right Mike, they can only use their copters to kill, that’s how they’re programmed. Let’s hope the wind doesn’t switch to westerly.
No water bombers dispatched while the fires were still small. Now so big that only winter will put out the surface. Hot spots can smoulder in the soil under the snow all winter. Then in the spring it comes to a rock or tree trunk and comes to the surface to start last years dry grass burning. Stoopid Pootlerstan has terrible enviornmental record and standards.
Buy weapons to occupy more land while incapable of looking after what they already have. IDIOTS!
Well said, Grumpy!
They don’t want the land to cultivate it, but to exploit it and to play strategic war chess. Russia is ruled by ticks. Once they sucked everything dry they’ll buy a house in Italy, Cyprus or Miami…
