On the night of April 8, in occupied Feodosia (Crimea), the local oil depot of JSC “Marine Oil Terminal” came under repeated attack. A fire was recorded at the facility, and the glow from it was observed by locals dozens of kilometers away.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “Exelinova+” and Russian social media. At the same time, local authorities did not comment on the night attack.

Another blow to the refinery

“The oil depot of JSC “Marine Oil Terminal” caught fire in Feodosia as a result of a night attack, according to OSINT analysis of footage from eyewitnesses,” the report says.

On the night of April 8, residents of Feodosia reported explosions and a fire at a local oil depot. Videos and photos posted online show a bright fire in the area of the Marine Oil Terminal JSC.

In particular, one of the photos was taken approximately 4.7 km from the object – the frame shows house No. 82A on Chelnokova Street.

At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that last night, air defense forces allegedly shot down 73 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions, the Azov and Black Seas, as well as over annexed Crimea.

Previously, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the JSC “Marine Oil Terminal” in occupied Crimea is a key logistics facility through which fuel is supplied by sea to the peninsula and the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine.

It is worth noting that during 2025, the oil depot in Feodosia was under attack several times. And the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, reported that on the night of April 4, 2026, Ukrainian UAVs destroyed the radar from the S-400 air defense system complex in Feodosia.

As a reminder, earlier, local residents released a video showing what the Russian invaders’ oil depot in Feodosia looked like. At least two tanks literally melted as a result of the fire, and several others were also engulfed in flames.

As OBOZ.UA reported, for the second time since the beginning of the month, Ukrainian troops have struck the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in Luhansk Oblast. The enemy target was attacked by FP-2 drones from Fire Point.

  1. I visited Feodosoa what seems like a lifetime away now.
It is a charming town with a delightful promenade. Old boys are scattered along it with their chess sets and tables. They challenge you for a game if you have time.
They were certainly way too good for me to give them a decent game.
I also remember beach cafes in Yalta and the Tatar town of Sudak, with its Genovese fortress.
Crimea is just too nice for cockroaches.
I hope to revisit a free Crimea soon.
    VERY soon, God willing.

    • Yes, I have the same memories. They were much better times back then, for Ukraine and for the U.S.
