Battle of Hostomel Remembered

A note for our readers:

Over the past four years, something real has been built here.

What started as a place to follow the war has grown into one of the largest communities actively supporting Ukraine — a space where people don’t just scroll, but engage, question, and think.

That doesn’t happen without you.

Every comment, every share, every reaction — it all adds up. Together, this community now reaches over 60 million people on Facebook. That’s not just a number — that’s influence. That’s impact.

Because in a war like this, information matters. Truth matters. And every time you push back against disinformation, every time you help amplify reality over noise — you are doing real work.

This page has never just been about updates. It’s about clarity, accountability, and making sure what’s happening is seen for what it is.

And we’ve done that together.

The voice here is strong — and it’s only getting stronger.

Thank you for being part of it. 🇺🇦
Slava Ukraine, Glory to the heroes.

🟥 Battle of Hostomel Remembered: A Symbol Set in Stone

A powerful installation has been unveiled on the Alley of the Ukrainian Army to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Kyiv region—dedicated to the Battle of Hostomel Airport, one of the defining moments in the defense of Ukraine.

Created by artists from the Cultural Forces platform, the installation centers around a real concrete slab taken directly from the Hostomel airfield. Split in half, it stands as a stark symbol of a plan that failed.

That runway was meant to serve as a gateway—
a landing point for Russian troops in a rapid assault designed to seize Kyiv in days.
Instead, it became one of the first places where that plan broke.

At the opening, Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces Yevhen Sasko captured the weight of what unfolded there:

“At the beginning of 2022, the enemy sought to rapidly achieve the goals of the so-called ‘special military operation’: capture the capital, break our will, install a puppet administration, and effectively destroy our country. But Kyiv region became the site of fierce resistance, where the fate of all Ukraine was decided.”

Hostomel was not just a battle—it was a turning point.
What was supposed to be a swift decapitation strike turned into a brutal miscalculation.

The installation will remain open to visitors through the end of April.

▪️ Cultural Forces, the group behind the project, brings together service members, artists, analysts, and volunteers—using culture as a weapon of memory, diplomacy, and resistance.

🟦 🟩 🇪🇬🇺🇦 A quiet but significant shift.

Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed a call with Abdel Fattah el-Sisi — and the outcome carries real weight.

Egypt will no longer accept grain exported by Russia from Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories.

Instead, Cairo is signaling increased demand for Ukrainian grain.

This matters.

Russia’s ability to monetize stolen grain has been a key part of its economic workaround. Every country that closes that door tightens the pressure.

And Egypt is not just any buyer—it is one of the world’s largest grain importers.

Beyond agriculture:

➖ Egypt expressed readiness to support efforts toward a dignified peace
➖ Foreign ministers will remain in active coordination
➖ Discussions included the Middle East, Gulf dynamics, and oil market impacts
➖ Ukraine signaled openness to expanding military-technical cooperation

This is what long-term positioning looks like.

Not just battlefield gains—but systematically reshaping the diplomatic and economic environment around the war.

One partner at a time.

⚫️ Russian strike on Kherson killed a mother in front of her son.

He’s an adult. He understood exactly what was happening. And his screams… they weren’t confusion—they were the sound of someone realizing, in real time, that the person who raised him was gone.

That kind of moment doesn’t pass. It stays.

And this is where the conversation about “peace” breaks down.

Peace isn’t statements. It isn’t speeches. It isn’t promises made on a stage somewhere far away from the reality on the ground. Peace is measured in what actually happens—and right now, this is what’s happening.

A son holding his mother in the street after a strike.

So how can anyone look at this and say the aggressor wants peace?

How do you explain this to the families living it—not in theory, not in headlines, but in the worst moment of their lives?

This isn’t abstract. It’s not political.

It’s consequence.

One man’s decisions, repeated over and over, multiplied across thousands of families—each one left with a moment they can never undo, and a loss they carry forward permanently.

‼️ 🟩 DIPLOMACY — U.S. STATEMENT / UKRAINE

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has made a highly controversial claim regarding Ukraine’s intelligence services.

He stated that there are “elements within Ukrainian intelligence” that attempted to influence both American and Hungarian elections, framing it as part of the “cost” of working with certain actors inside Ukraine’s system.

📍 Context & Reality Check:
• There is no publicly verified evidence supporting claims that Ukrainian intelligence interfered in U.S. or Hungarian elections.
• Ukraine remains heavily dependent on Western political and military support — actions of this nature would directly undermine its own strategic position.
• The statement aligns with broader narratives that attempt to erode trust between Ukraine and its partners.

What this signals:
• Rising political friction within parts of the Western alliance
• Increased use of unverified or politically charged claims in public discourse
• Potential amplification of narratives that benefit Russian strategic messaging

Assessment:
This is not battlefield pressure — it’s informational pressure.

And statements like this, whether intentional or not, risk doing what Russian strategy has aimed for all along:

👉 Create doubt
👉 Divide partners
👉 Weaken support

Stay critical. Stay grounded in verified facts.

🇺🇸🇭🇺

“I love Hungary, and I love this Viktor. I’ll tell you, he’s a fantastic man,” U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance said while calling Donald Trump live from a rally in support of Viktor Orbán.

During the call, Vance added that “5,000 Hungarian patriots are on the line who love Trump even more than Orbán.”

Trump, speaking to the crowd remotely, emphasized that his participation itself was an endorsement—stating that if he didn’t believe Orbán was doing a good job, he wouldn’t have joined the rally.

  1. Vance : an absolute cunt of a man who has gone to Orbanistan to prop up a putler-owned dictator who laughs when putler murders Ukrainian children.

    DT :

“At a press conference on Tuesday, Mr Vance claimed Mr Trump and Mr Orbán had done more than any other world leaders for peace in Ukraine.”

    Lies, lies, lies.
    Bastard.

  2. Donald Lerma, Stand With Ukraine:

“Let’s not forget about Vance, next target. Let’s get one thing straight. You do not fly thousands of miles to meet with a notorious European strongman unless you are taking notes.

While working Americans scrape by to afford rent and groceries, Vice President JD Vance is taking a taxpayer-funded field trip to Budapest to study at the altar of Viktor Orban. For years, Orban has provided the ultimate right-wing masterclass in how to quietly dismantle a democracy. He crushed independent media, rigged the courts, gutted labor protections, and rewrote election laws to guarantee his party stays in power permanently.

That is exactly why Vance is there. The Republican establishment knows their deeply unpopular agenda of billionaire tax cuts and corporate deregulation cannot survive a fair, functioning democracy. Instead of offering real policies to help the working class, they are crossing the Atlantic to learn how to permanently rig the system from a dictator.

When voting rights experts scream from the rooftops about the GOP’s mindset heading into the midterms, we need to listen. This is not diplomacy. This is a reconnaissance mission for American fascism.”
