Stubb said, “Yes, it’s time to start talking to Russia. When this will happen, I don’t know.” He argued Europe should engage Moscow directly because “Washington’s policy towards Russia and Ukraine is no longer in line with Europe’s interests”
He stressed coordination among the “E5” (Germany, France, Italy, UK, Poland) plus Nordic/Baltic states, and said the format could be “a special envoy or a group of leaders”. He also said he doesn’t expect peace this year: “I believe that peace isn’t on the table, at least for this year”.
Stubb isn’t new to this idea. He said at Chatham House in March 2025 that “we are approaching the moment when political conversational channels have to be open with Russia”, and in April 2025 told Estonian media a resumption of contact was inevitable and “the only question is when.” 🇺🇦🇷🇺🇫🇮

One year ago US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance bullied Ukraine President Zelenskyy in the oval office.
In the infamous scene 28 February 2025,
the world witnessed a small man Donald Trump with and even smaller man JD Vance poke fun and belittle a man whose people are enduring genocide.
They cackled “you have no cards Zelenskyy!”
Demanding that Zelenskyy do as they say.
Zelenskyy said no.
Zelenskyy refused to give in to the US demands that he relinquish his nation’s land and appease the aggressor Russians.
A short time after that meeting Zelenskyy impressed everyone in the world with his military prowess, in the famous ‘Spiderweb Operation ‘.
The spiderweb operation was pure genius. The first of its kind. And other nations took notice.
In fact the Ukrainian genius in drone technology is what has kept the large Russian army at bay.
Russia has taught us one thing:
- That incredible size in land, military and manpower — cannot beat Ukrainian genius.
This has been a true David and Goliath battle.
Someone once said “knowledge is power” and Ukraine proves it.
Ukraine has taught us that a much smaller nation with good values, solid principles, care for democracy and humanity CAN beat Goliath with — brainpower.
Brainpower is what wins wars.
Months after Operation Spiderweb, which humiliated Putin with a surprise attack in Russia and brought notice to Ukrainian military technique — Tump started his Iran War.
During the Iran war,
Zelenskyy has been on multiple world tours coming to the aid of Gulf Nations.
Ukraine brought manpower and expertise to the Gulf Nations who were being pummeled by the same Iranian-Russian shahed drones that Ukraine has successfully defended against for the last four years.
The entire world respects the #1 developer in drone technology — the Ukrainians.
Yet Donald J. Trump continued pushing Russian Propaganda making statements to the effect that “the US does not need Ukraine” in an attempt to undermine Ukraines advancements.
The Iran war began two months ago,
Trump continued his tiresome victim bullying of Ukraine and reluctance to step into reality.
While Trump wasted his time posting lame memes on TruthSocial — the rest of the world has been making million dollar defense deals with Ukraine.
Ukrainian drones are the global best and drone technology is the new warfare.
The future in war is drone technology.
Ukraine has paved its way as the leader in modern military technology.
Today is a big turn of the table.
Today marks the first instance where the US Government publicly displays it’s realization that Ukraine develops the most respected military technology in the world.
Ukraine develops the most useful drones and at an incredibly reasonable price point.
Unlike Donald Trump who uses war as a means to pad his own pockets.
Zelenskyy has created affordable technology that is developed at thousands of dollars and successfully defends against multi-million dollar missiles.
The Ukrainians care about helping other nations. They have developed groundbreaking technology and are eager to make deals at reasonable rates.

It seems so.

I know he’s a good friend of Ukraine, but I don’t see his purpose right now.
Putler is a murderous, psychopathic nazi. He’s not going to make any meaningful concessions.
He might do when his orcs are in full retreat and his economy completely fucked.
Plus he has Krasnov, the chicoms, Iran and the norks actively on his side.

Stubb is usually a very sensible man, but this is ludicrous. The mafia rat has shown countless times already how useless talks are with him. But, he can go ahead and talk until he’s blue in the face if he wants.
