The Finnish parliament has supported a law that repeals a long-standing ban on nuclear weapons in the country.
This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to Bloomberg.

Parliament supported the changes
125 deputies voted for the bill, while 61 parliamentarians voted against it.
The document allows the import, transportation, and potential deployment of nuclear weapons on the country’s territory within the framework of defense policy.
Decisions linked to NATO membership
Helsinki explains that the changes are necessary for full integration into NATO’s collective defense system after Finland joins the Alliance in 2023.
Defense Minister Antti Hakkanen said the new law strengthens the country’s defense capabilities and makes it possible to use NATO’s nuclear deterrent to protect Finland.
There are no plans to deploy weapons yet.
At the same time, the Finnish authorities emphasize that the decision does not mean the immediate deployment of nuclear weapons on the territory of the country.
The government states that the law creates legal mechanisms in case of changes in the security situation in the region.
The decision was made against the backdrop of Russia’s war against Ukraine
During parliamentary debates, part of the opposition opposed the innovations, claiming a lack of broad public consensus.
However, the majority of deputies supported the changes, citing growing security risks in Europe, Russia’s war against Ukraine, and the need to strengthen defense guarantees. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n4008896

Let’s wait for the whining coming out of the kremlin.

Medvedev is typing………………….
Nukes were on the back foot for years. Then the Budapest Memorandum failed completely when none of the signatories honored it, except the victim. And no one else really stepped forward to help the victim directly. Now, the world knows that nukes are the only guarantee of security.
“in case of changes in the security situation in the region.” – maybe they should gaze a bit more towards the southwest.
