Fighting in Kursk Region: Media Reports on First Minutes of “Breakthrough” and “Akhmat” Losses

The Russian border was guarded by Akhmatovites and conscripts.

In the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region alone, at least 15 fighters from the Akhmat special forces unit were wounded , the Russian VChK-OGPU project reports.

Citing a source, journalists write that conscripts guarded the border along with the Akhmatovites. “Information was received via operational channels that there were more wounded. They all “dispersed” (ran away) during the first strikes and the Ukrainian Armed Forces troops advanced deeper into the region,” the report says .

At the beginning of the attack, people wrote in local chats that Ukrainian tanks were already on the streets, and panic set in. Local residents accuse district heads of lying and also express dissatisfaction with the fact that they did not ensure timely evacuation.

The authorities claim that people allegedly did not want to leave the border areas themselves. Near the border, the buildings of border guards and adjacent houses received the most damage. It is reported that a man and a 24-year-old girl were killed, one of the conscripts was evacuated in serious condition – he was able to crawl to the last house in the village of Obukhovka.

Let us recall that today it became known about a new “breakthrough” of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Kursk region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not comment on this.

Russia officially acknowledged this only in the evening, announcing that it had sent reinforcements there. The Internet is reporting losses among the occupiers and the destruction of a Russian Ka-52 helicopter .
