Fico did not condemn Russia for missile strike on Sumy: “I do not have enough information”

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico did not mention Russia when commenting on the missile attack on Sumy on April 13. The Russian strike claimed the lives of 35 Ukrainians.

This is reported by the publication Postoj.sk, reports  Censor.NET .

Fico had not previously commented on the Russian attack, and when journalists asked him about the strike during a press conference on April 14, the prime minister replied: “I condemn the murder. I condemn all murders, I have always condemned them and I will continue to do so. But I do not have enough information to say anything right now.”

Meanwhile, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini was among nearly 50 countries and organizations that condemned the Russian attack. The Slovak opposition criticized the prime minister for his lack of response to the tragedy.

“The international community must exert all diplomatic efforts and pressure to stop this massacre, calling on Russia to seek peace at the negotiating table, and not with missiles that kill innocent people,”  Pellegrini said on the day of the strike. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n3546804
