Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico announced that he had accepted Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invitation to come to Moscow for the parade on May 9. He wrote about this on his Facebook page .

“The Red Army and the peoples of the former Soviet Union played an irreplaceable role in the victory of fascism and the victory in World War II. “In this spirit, it is natural that as the Prime Minister of Slovakia I am very interested in participating in the official celebrations of the victory over fascism, which will take place on May 9, 2025 in Moscow. Therefore, I gladly accepted the official invitation of the President of the Russian Federation. Vladimir Putin will take part in these important celebrations, which I will do,” the Prime Minister added.

What about the liberation between 1945 and 1990? Not forgetting the “liberation” in 1968.
