One of the neo-Nazi movements from Russia has claimed responsibility for the murder of the linguist and politician.
The police are checking information spread in the Russian media about the murder of Irina Farion .
As Svetlana Dobrovolskaya, press secretary of the Lviv regional police, told Suspilne , law enforcement officers are checking information that a representative of the Russian neo-Nazi movement has claimed responsibility for Farion’s murder.
“Yesterday, while monitoring social networks, we discovered this information. We are now studying whether it will be useful for the investigation,” Dobrovolskaya noted.
What came before
The Russian Telegram channel ” Astra ” published information that, allegedly, a representative of the neo-Nazi movement NS/WP (National-Socialism/White Power) in Russia took responsibility for the murder of Irina Farion.
In particular, the channel, which calls itself an independent project, published a 10-second video in which an unknown woman’s scream can be heard. In the footage, journalists identified several cars that were at the scene of Farion’s murder.
A woman’s scream
As Suspilne notes, citing police sources, the linguist’s murder had been in preparation for at least a month. The killer is a man wanted by the police. He may have accomplices, but it is unknown how exactly they were involved in the murder.
The murderer appears to be about 20 years old. He is a thin man, about 170-180 cm tall.
