On the evening of Saturday, July 11, at the age of 71, US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham died suddenly , according to a statement from his office.
As noted, the senator died of a “short and sudden illness.”
“Senator Graham’s family appreciates prayers at this time and asks for respect during this incredibly difficult time,” the office said.
Graham has been one of the most consistent and influential supporters of Ukraine among American politicians: he actively advocated providing it with weapons and strengthening sanctions against Russia. As early as Friday, July 9, the senator was visiting Kyiv.
