Infiltrating in small groups of one or two is a favorite tactic of the Russians right now: quietly slipping in, holing up in a house somewhere, and waiting for the rest to catch up.

This time, they latched onto a five-story building. They thought they’d sit tight, build up their numbers, and see how things played out. But the “Donbas” assault troops quickly made it clear that their move-in hadn’t been approved.
